Try It On Everything - EFT movie review

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

Recently I saw a great movie called “Try It On Everything”. It is about EFT- Emotional Freedom Technique, for some it may seem a mysterious technique because it works on energy points that were discovered by ancient Chinese but in fact EFT is fairly new. The movie is worth spreading to the public since EFT is quick and simple and it gives astonishing results. I think EFT should be taught in preschool worldwide but it has to “tip” to become so popular.

The movie “Try It On Everything” can be seen as an instructional video to learn EFT, but there is also a story about each of the participants. Ten people were invited for a long four day weekend workshop. They had awfully deep issues and the movie starts with their descriptions. Some of those issues were: years of sickness, chemotherapy, back pain, insomnia, lack of belief to be healthy, unworthiness, reoccurring nightmares, depression, fear of speaking in public, food cravings and overweight, spinal injury, being stuck between the pain caused by smoking and the pain caused by non smoking, phobias, traumas… All of them were supposedly permanent. Participants were told to try a little technique called EFT. It was meant to release stuck energy, sooth energetic disruptions. EFT works simply by bringing a problem to mind and tap on special points. Most of the issues were healed completely after the first or second day. It was staggering to see all participants’ faces at the end, completely relaxed, healed and happier.

I’ve been using EFT for over a year now and I still learned a lot from the movie. I’ve estimated that if I was about to pay a $1000 for knowing or not knowing EFT I would pay it, for me EFT was already worth more.

EFT can be used for healing, boosting confidence, accelerating the Law of Attraction, unleashing your potential. You can use it anywhere even on short breaks. Thomas Edison once said: “If we did all the things we were capable of doing, we could literally astound ourselves.” Some more quotation from the movie:
“Joy doesn’t cause blockages, it is anger, guilt etc.”
“Each of us has potential to be brilliant.”
“We are profoundly powerful people.”
“Accepting yourself doesn’t make you stuck. “
“Life was meant to be enjoyed.”

“Try It On Everything” features famous stars from “The Secret” like Bob Proctor, Jack Canfield, Joe Vitale and many other great teachers that are still not known so widely. Jack Canfield said: ”If on a scale from 1 to 10 your life is 3 then why so high? Why isn’t it 2 or 1?” that helps people to focus that there is always something nice already in everybody’s life. The next question is: ”What could move it to level 4 for you?”. Bob Proctor said something like this: “It is time not for a slow incremental growth but for a quantum leap to become the best of who you are. Everybody has that capacity.”

The workshop was lead by 5 practitioners: Helena Johnson, Rick Wilkes, Steve Munn, Nicolas Ortner, and Carol Look. Nicolas Ortner presented a little explanation: Imagine that everyday you get 100 units of power or $100. If something has happened to you in the past that cost $2, you don’t pay it just once, you pay it everyday whenever you replay the emotion. Energy goes where your focus is. If you focus daily on what’s bad that’s where your energy is draining out of your body. Traumas create blocks on energy pathways but Energy is supposed to flow thru you. You are spending your $100 on bad emotions and additionally traumas are blocking new income. EFT brings that power back. Tap and take it back. What can you do with your full energy dose? What would your life look like if your pain was gone? Tapping on energy points excites electrical system in the body. Chinese applied pressure = acupressure or needles = acupuncture on those energy points. Those points are on the head, collar bone, under arm and on hands. It is shown precisely in the movie where and how to tap. While tapping repeat the statement “Even thou [your problem here] I deeply and completely accept myself.” If you get emotional just keep tapping. Check the level of intensity after each cycle. From 0 - no feeling to 10 – highest level of distress.

What was surprising to me was that tapping on someone else’s issues can help yourself. We have a lot in common so you can tap on someone else’s issues. If you beat yourself up, or someone else does it then tap and say “Even thou I am a total mess I deeply and profoundly accept myself” and “I am perfectly right to feel this way” acknowledge that, admit it. Freud said that this is therapeutic “The way to heal is to have no secrets”. 70% of our thoughts are negative and limiting our power. When you were a child you downloaded behaviors from your parents and they became your behaviors. We often make decisions based on beliefs we took at a young age. Only two fears are inborn: fear of falling and fear of loud noises, the rest is taken from the environment, mostly from our parents.

After watching that movie twice I must say that it was done professionally and received a lot of care. The movie has a fantastic music background, when I realized it I rewound back and said “wow!”. Compositions on the screen are pleasant, important info is explained in captions. The workshop took place in a quiet location, rooms were furnitured and arranged nicely. It is worth watching multiple times not just to awe but to acquire and implement all the tips that were presented.

Do you want to learn more about that mysterious technique, to learn the remaining part of the secret? Get the movie here: “Try It On Everything” and start using this fascinating tool called EFT.
