Without Any Food for One Day
Yesterday I ate nothing but pure water. Just to say hello to a mild hunger. It was a first day in my life without any food at all. I stopped eating the day before at 8pm digesting everything before the night so I woke up with an empty stomach and stayed without eating until 9am the following morning after this one day trial. I drunk nearly 4 liters of pure water, and I know that even my stomach was empty there was still some food further down in the digestive system. I got hungry at breakfast time and at dinner time. At lunchtime I was occupied with a bathroom cleaning so I wasn’t thinking about food. I was surprised that the hunger didn’t raise through the day, in the evening the hunger was the same as in the morning. I noticed that I had more time, whenever I went to the kitchen I asked myself “what I am doing here?”, I even did not have to brush my teeth. Before the trial I hid away any food not to eat it accidentally either by habit or by automatic response to cravings.
Where this idea come from? The impulse was because of my current month long trial which is standing upside down on hands for several seconds each day. While doing this I noticed that I do not have to eat so much, and the feeling was whether after or before the meal. There is something in standing upside down that makes you resistant to eating. There was also a second reason for this one day trial – it is my recent interest in living without food which is called breatharianism or inedia. Definitely I will NOT do this now but I consider doing this some day.
