tinyarro.ws is a new service like a tinyurl.com but more extreme! You can translate any long url into something minuscule like www.›.ws/› which is a link to http://weoverstep.com but I could translate http://weoverstep.com/blog/2008/12/12/breakthrough-to-success-by-chris-howard-seminar-review/ into www.›.ws/✩ . As you see there are special characters used, you cannot find them on a keyboard but you can copy and paste any unicode character. There are umpteen Chinese and Japanese characters so it is abundant source for creating mini links, get a full table of unicode characters on http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/en/general-info/unicode.html
