100% Raw Vegan Trial

I decided to go for a 100% raw vegan 30 day trial. I started today on the 28th of December 2008, I didn’t wanted to wait until new year. What’s my background in eating raw? Last year at this time I used to be about 20% raw which was very high compared to a regular 21 century man, and I was of course 100% vegan which is completely rare. I haven’t considered living on solely raw food at all. It was outside my consideration and awareness. And then on January 1st 2008 Steve Pavlina started raw vegan trial which made me very curious but it seemed rather frightening, I didn’t have enough reasons or proofs that it is beneficial or safe. I did an eye opening research but still wasn’t totally convinced, it seemed like too early for me, non the less from day one of Steve’s trial I started to raise the bar gradually. After Steve’s trial has ended and he decided at that point to reverse back to cooked vegan food I was close to 50% raw and continued to go up. The higher I went the progress was slower, but I haven’t pressed much, I didn’t have any urgent reasons. After two months Steve was back to 100% raw for good. On December Steve’s wife Erin went for a raw vegan trial too which was surprising. Extra motivation and enlightenment gave me also Rawkathon – it was a one week of free video interviews with top 15 experts on raw food. I hope it will be repeated yearly. Up to this day I had a dozen of occasional 100% raw days and from September I stayed on average on 95% raw level. During November I slid back a bit to 90% and below but lately I raised it back. Today is purely raw.
