EFT – Quick Version
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique – it heals depression, anxiety, addictions, phobias, panic attacks and even fear of public speaking. This technique works very well for me and millions of other people worlwide. I will reveal to you a shortened version of EFT by demonstrating how to use it, then I will say when to use it and at the end we will do EFT together.
That’s right I will guide you.
Gary Craig is the founder of EFT, his website is www.emofree.com. He brought the idea from acupuncture and made it simple and safe – no needles just gentle tapping with fingers – that makes EFT portable and useful ‘just in time’.
Let’s say I have a problem with ___anger___ ( and I really do
). To use a quick version of EFT tap on special points that you see on the picture below. Tap several times like tapping on the table, use tips of index and middle fingers, you could even knock like on the door but it would be to painful.

While tapping keep thinking about your problem and repeat this phrase: “even thou I have this ___anger___ I deeply and completely accept myself”. Repeat this phrase for each point. That’s it, now you know the core of EFT, the rest is just fine tunig which I will post in other articles later. Now let’s be serious: does it work at all? For such a simple technique it works enormously good. I’ve been using EFT for over a year now. I’ve estimated that I would pay a thousand dollars for knowing EFT and this is exactly what you will be charged at the end of this article.
When can we use EFT?
- Just before an important event like na exam or a meeting – “even thou I am nervous I deeply and completely accept myself”.
- Does it ever happen to you that there are just two weeks to complete your project that takes a month and you have nothing yet? One week still nothing. Take it easy man – tap and say “even thou I have this procrastinating guilt …” or ”even thou I have this frustration …”
- You can use EFT when you are stuck in a traffic jam and steaming because you are late for a meeting – instead of looking at your watch, pressing the horn and tapping on the steering wheel please tap on the EFT points and say: “even thou I am late …”
- and if you feel unhappy with your website try this: “even thou my website is not as good as weoverstep.com is …”
What EFT does? It is a distraction for sure, when you tap your brain says: hello? come in, it’s open, you also detach yourself from the problem. What if you forget some of the tapping points? Just skip them, EFT is flexible, you can change the sequence or even tap a bit on the left side and then on the right and it will still work fine.
OK, now is the time to try EFT together. What is your major, horrible emotional issue: fear, anger, sadness, depression? Do you feel it? Prepare some tissues if you want to cry, sorry for being so brutal. We will say together a magic formula – not now but in a moment – “even thou I have ___this challenge___ I deeply and completely accept myself”. Keep thinking about your problem, look at the picture, now let’s tap multiple times while saying the magic formula for each point.

Excellent, thank you. That was brilliant. EFT is a quick tapping technique to release emotional blockages, tension, traumas and unnecessary pain, a tool to cope with stress or improve any area of life. I want you to try EFT at least once when a negative emotion strikes you. Do you remember what Brian Tracy said: ”We can go no further in our evolution as human beings than we are at this moment except by discarding our negative emotions”. Now with just a little bit of tapping you can push the evolution out of the orbit.
